Caitlin Cameron: Chair of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Cameron is a highly-accomplished senior executive with 30 years’ cross-industry expertise in the Life Sciences, Biotech, Technology, and IT industries. She is a specialist in building high-performing start-up companies. Previously, she held Chair and CEO positions at several Life Sciences and IT companies, building successful businesses and organizations, creating value and maximizing potential in a very short period of time. In addition, she has built organizations known for employee satisfaction, including being selected for the 100 Best Places to Work in Washington.
George A. Gates, MD: Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Gates is a nationally-recognized clinician and medical researcher in otology, with substantial experience in the diagnosis and treatment of otitis media. Dr. Gates is a renowned otolaryngologist and neurotologist, and is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Washington (UW) and former director of the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the UW. In his career, he has authored over 220 peer-reviewed published research reports, review articles, and clinical concepts in Otology/Neurotology. Dr. Gates is the inventor of our technology.
Mark A. Moehring, PhD: Co-founder and Chief Science Officer. Dr. Moehring is an industry-recognized leader in the field of medical ultrasound with over three decades of experience in signal processing and medical ultrasound instrument design. His research and product development focus has been in the field of Doppler ultrasound with primary emphasis in diagnostic and therapeutic cranial and otitis media applications. Dr. Moehring is the inventor of 16 issued patents in ultrasound and hemodynamic monitoring technology.
John Alleman: Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Alleman is a retired Navy submarine officer with a deep background in medical device product development, quality systems, and manufacturing operations, with 20 years of service as a naval officer and over 15 years in private industry. His expertise is in ultrasound product development, project management, risk management, clinical research management, mechanical design and systems engineering. In addition, he has expertise securing US regulatory approvals for 510ks, IDEs, and INDs as well as European CE marks.
Danny Kreindler, MBA: Vice President, Product Development. Mr. Kreindler is an experienced engineering, product, and technical marketing manager with over 20 years of experience in the imaging and medical device industry. Previous experience include work at both large corporations and start-ups developing airborne imaging systems, high-speed print/scan controllers, and various ultrasound-based medical devices, as well as managing medical business units, and running technical marketing for various medical technology start-ups.
Karen Brentnall, ASQ CQE: Vice President, Quality. With over 20 years of experience in the medical devices industry, Ms. Brentnall has played an active role in the design, development, and manufacture of numerous medical devices, including the SuperSonic Imagine Aixplorer® diagnostic ultrasound system, the Boston Scientific Rotablator™rotational artherectomy system, and several catheters and LVADs. Her expertise includes quality engineering, risk management, and implementation of quality management systems.
Marc J. Fine, MPH: Vice President, Marketing and Business Management. With more than 30 years experience in the medical devices field, Mr. Fine has had a hand in several major breakthrough initiatives, including Interson's SeeMore USB ultrasound probe, Diasonics (first digital ultrasound imaging system); Teknar (first bi-plane prostate imaging system); SRI International (da Vinci Robotic Surgery System); and Siemens (first 3D C-Arm), among others.
Charlie Corredor, PhD: Vice President, Operations. Dr. Corredor is a biotech entrepreneur and experienced scientist with 8+ years of research experience in medical devices and analytical testing with 15 peer-reviewed publications in high impact scientific journals. He has served as a scientific review panelist for various federal grant funding agencies and has managed multiple federally supported grants and contracts in academia and industry. Dr. Corredor holds a dual PhD in Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology and Molecular Engineering from the University of Washington (UW), where he received the prestigious National Science Foundation Fellowship and National Academy of Sciences–Ford Fellowship. He also holds a business graduate certificate from UW-Foster School of Business in technology development and entrepreneurship.
